"Anything To Win": Soap Opera Wars |
Monday, April 10, 2006 |
GSN's breakout series "Anything To Win" will feature an episode entitled Soap Opera Wars on Sunday, April 16th at 8PM ET. Soaps, known for being a tad bit over the top, this episode will feature what the stunts the shows pull to attract viewers and win the ratings wars, especially in times around Sweeps. This will specifically focus on a groundbreaking stunt by "Days of Our Lives", by unleashing a serial killer in the town of Salem and killing half of the cast. "Soap operas are misunderstood and underappreciated. As any actor who has joined a soap after doing prime time or films will tell you, there isn’t a more demanding job in the business. Daytime is filled with talented performers whose fans are fiercely loyal, and storylines that are complicated and compelling. It's no wonder so many prime time shows draw talent and plots from the genre," said Stephanie Sloane, Editor of Soap Opera Digest.
Again, this episode will air on Sunday, April 16th at 8PM ET on GSN. |
