BREAKING NEWS: NBC PICKS UP "1 VS. 100" |
Wednesday, April 26, 2006 |
Score another one for Endemol and Talpa. NBC has picked up the hit Dutch show "Een Tegen 100", better known as 1 VS 100 on our side of the pond. It's what the main game of Winning Lines should have been. 1 audience member is chosen to battle 100 audience members in an attempt, for the NBC version, to win $3,000,000. No word yet of when the show will begin, or who the host is. The season finale of "Een Tegen 100" will air this Sunday at 3:45 on Talpa. We'll provide a link closer to time. Main difference from the Dutch to the US version: they are apparently giving you the option to walk out of the game at any time, much unlike the Dutch version, where with one miss, you lose. We're making this about a 5% rumor until we get official word, but this is looking good.y

So that'll be the Dutch prizes multiplied by ten, then? (Theoretical top prize on the Dutch version is about 315k.)
Holy crap.
Please, please, get rid of the video questions though. They're fine in the Dutch version, because they plug charities. In the US version, they'll either be filler or product placement.
Getting a chance to walk? Presumably involving taking a moderate sum of money in the process. In which case, that's an awesome idea and one that is sorely needed in the Dutch original.

this sounds like an interesting game but i am wondering what if this will be a trivia game. NBC is in desperate need of another hit besides Deal Or No Deal which i love. I also have another gameshow I've created but will pitch it once I get it copyrighted.

I wonder when this game will be on NBC i haven't seen an advertisement for it yet. I am wondering when this show will air. I also noticed that it is not in NBC fall schedule but deal or no deal is going to be on monday and friday next fall I am happy for that because I am off work on friday nights.
