Lingo Begins Season 5 Tonight! |
Monday, April 03, 2006 |
GSN's hit game show "Lingo" breaks a GSN record by having the fifth full season starting tonight at 7:30PM ET. We imagine season 4 will continue at 7:00PM. The show, hosted by Chuck Woolery and Shandi Finnessey, tests people knowledge of five-lettered words in a Mastermind style as they draw balls out of their hoppers, hoping to achieve a Lingo, score big points, and win the game. Little set changes are seen this season except for an apparent Lingo logo on Chuck's monitor. New this season is the Super Lingo Jackpot. In Bonus Lingo, if a team gets any Lingo, they get $5,000. If they get a Lingo on their first draw, they win $10,000 PLUS $1,000 every day until it's won. If last season's Super Lingo payout frequency can be used as a guide for this season of 65 (70 or 75 because of Hawaiian Week in season 4?), we'll be seeing some jackpots nearing $40,000. Special episodes this season entail Hawaii Week (like stated before, left over from last season), Fiesta Week, and more special episodes. Lingo Season 5 debuts Monday, April 3rd at 7:30PM ET on GSN. |
