"Deal or No Deal" Three Days a Week |
Saturday, September 23, 2006 |
NBC just couldn't resist, could they? "Deal or No Deal" will be airing on Fridays starting the week of September 25th and will go on for a few weeks like this. Terrific. The show is getting rather low ratings as it is, getting in the 6.5 range the past few nights. Is adding a third night a smart idea really? If they would move it off of the Thursday time slot, which they need to do ASAP, and just leave it Monday/Friday at 8PM ET, that would be fine. I am a fan of "Deal or No Deal", and I'm even getting sick of it at this point. |

YO NBC!!!
Leave Deal at two nights a week. If you put it on thursday night, the ratings will DROP. Survivor, CSI and Anatomy will knock it out.
I hope you don't ruin 1 vs. 100 with this.

heres an idea how about either putting it on fridays at 7 p.m. CST or put it on Wed at either 7 or 8 p.m. and move The Biggest Loser to Thursdays at 8
-
Take a hint from the parody floating around and put it on 8 days a week.
-
If they keep doing the millionaire burn-out airing schedule, i have the feeling 1 vs 100 is going to replace deal or no deal!
-
Actually, it will air on Fridays for the next 3 weeks until Crossing Jordan has its season premiere. That's what The Futon Critic said. Besides, they had this info before Alex posted it here. I'm just saying.

Personally, I'd rather see DoND on a Monday/Friday schedule because Grey's Anatomy & CSI will most likely kill DoND on Thursdays anyways. MBC should've left it on Fridays when they announced the fall schedule a few months ago before the last second change.
-
I don't blame NBC for moving *Studio 60* to Monday nights at 10 from Thursdays at 9 -- *Studio 60* wouldn't have had a chance against either *CSI* or *Grey's*. But *DoND* is not the answer in that slot.
*DoND* does well on Mondays and Fridays. It won both nights rather handily last week, and the Peacock shouldn't ruin a good thing.
If NBC has, at this point, given up on challenging CBS and ABC in the Thursday at 9 slot, give the time slot to *Dateline*.
There is some talk that NBC is seriously considering pulling the Thursday *DoND*. Let's hope they make the right move and do just that.

Unfortunately for fans, the results aren't as bad for NBC as you would like. 6.5 is still Top 20-worthy some if not most weeks, and since 5 of the 20 from the week before went to NBC, I don't think that anyone at the peacock will mind.
I still think Deal has a ways to go before it gets into the danger zone.
